KEY takeaways
  • Feet are the foundation of how you move, so foot problems cause pain further up the chain.
  • We refer directly to Rick Cheema at RS Podiatry, and they refer to us.
  • Both clinics are local, so referrals are quick.
  • If you aren't sure who to see, ring either of us and we'll advise.

Two local clinics, one joined up approach. We work alongside RS Podiatry Clinic so that people in and around Balsall Common get the right care for foot, ankle and lower limb problems without having to work out for themselves who to see.

About RS Podiatry

RS Podiatry Clinic is a specialist podiatry practice run by Rick Cheema, an HCPC-registered podiatrist. They assess and treat foot, ankle and lower limb conditions, including heel pain, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot care and biomechanical problems affecting how you walk.

They share the way we like to work. Thorough assessment, treatment based on evidence, and a genuine focus on getting people results.

Why feet and physiotherapy go together

Your feet are the foundation of how you move. A problem down there can cause pain the whole way up, through the ankle, the knee, the hip and into the lower back. It works the other way too. Weakness or stiffness higher up puts more load through the feet over time.

Physiotherapy looks at movement, strength and load across the whole picture. Podiatry deals with the foot and lower limb directly, from biomechanical assessment and orthotics through to nail and skin conditions.

How the referral works

When you come to Resync, we assess your full movement picture. If there's a foot or lower limb issue that would do better with podiatry input, we'll refer you across to Rick directly. RS Podiatry refer their patients to us the same way.

Both clinics are local, so we can talk to each other easily. No long waits and no confusing handover.

Who this helps most

  • Heel or foot pain that hasn't settled with rest
  • Knee pain linked to the way you walk or run
  • Rehabilitation after foot or ankle surgery
  • Sports injuries affecting the lower limb
  • Achilles tendon problems
  • Changes to how you walk after an injury or an operation
  • Diabetic foot care, which needs specialist monitoring

If you aren't sure whether you need physiotherapy, podiatry or both, ring either of us and we'll point you the right way.

What happens at your first appointment with us

Your initial physiotherapy appointment lasts 55 minutes. We'll take a full history, assess how you move, work out what's driving your symptoms and put together a clear plan. If podiatry would help, we'll talk it through and make the referral.
