The Athlete Pathway

Strength and conditioning built for your sport, by a physiotherapist who understands the demands your body is under

Athlete coaching

For athletes who want numbers, not opinions

A runner's calves take something completely different from a rower's back or a netballer's knees. Generic strength programmes ignore that, which is why they only get you so far.

This pathway starts by measuring where you are. Strength, capacity and control tested against what the research says your sport actually demands

Then we build the gap, load it the way the evidence supports, and retest as we go. You'll know where you stand rather than guessing — and because a physiotherapist writes it, your injury history is part of the design rather than something to work around.

"Abi was incredible! I highly recommend her services - she has a ton of experience and knowledge and was amazing at explaining everything to me in a way that other physios did not! I struggled with an injury to my ankle for multiple years and she was able to set me up with a plan that helped in a short amount of time! I’m now back to playing sports all thanks to her. She’s fab & would highly, highly recommend!!"

Baseline

Measured against your sport

Strength, capacity and control tested at the start and compared against the demands your sport is known to place on a body. That's your baseline — everything is built from it.

Loading

Evidence-led progression

Load progressed at a rate the research supports, not by feel and not by guesswork. Enough to drive adaptation, controlled enough that it doesn't tip into overload.

Retested

You'll see the numbers move

Retested through the block, so progress is something you can see rather than something you're told. Side-to-side differences closing, capacity going up, control holding under fatigue.

Performance

Peaked for when it counts

Training that respects where you are in your season — building in the off-season, maintaining in-season, and backing off when it matters that you're fresh.

Our Approach

The Athlete Pathway

Meet your expert

Onboarding call

A proper conversation before anything is written. Your history, your goals, what you can currently manage, and what your week actually looks like.

Expert programming

Your programme

Written individually and delivered in an app, with video for every exercise so nothing is left to guesswork.

Expert coaching

Weekly check-ins

Every week we look at how it's gone, what's changed and what happens next. Nothing runs for a month without being looked at.

Always there

Ongoing message support

Message me between sessions when something doesn't feel right or you're not sure whether to push. You're never left wondering for a week.

Technique

Video movement testing

Send a clip of your run, your lift or your landing and I'll analyse it frame by frame — what's moving, what isn't, and where the control is breaking down. Then we retest the same movement later so you can see the change.

Biomechanics

Where the pain is, and why

Pain often shows up a long way from the problem. We look at how you're loading through the chain — and at the neuromuscular control behind it, because a muscle that fires late or not at all leaves something else picking up the work.

Progression

Strength and conditioning

Strength, power and capacity built for the demands of your sport. Loaded progressively, measured as we go, and periodised around your season rather than run in a straight line.

Sport Specific

Built around your sport

Change of direction, landing mechanics, running gait, the sled and the wall balls — whatever your sport actually asks. The later stages look like the thing you're training for.

Expert coaching

A coach in your corner

I started as a fitness instructor at seventeen, long before the physiotherapy degree. So I know what it's like to have a body that won't do what you're asking of it, and how quickly that turns into doubting yourself.

You'll get someone who takes your sport seriously, whatever level you're at. Race week nerves, a session that felt off, a decision about whether to push — ask, and you'll get a straight answer rather than being told to listen to your body.

And when it goes well, I'll be as pleased as you are. Watching someone get back to the start line or get a PB is the best part of this job!

Who we work with

What are you training for?

Abi works with athletes across a wide range of sports. These are the sports she has worked iwth across the years. Places are limited so every programme gets the attention it needs. Sport not here? That doesn't mean we don't work with it, drop us a message and tell us more about your sport.
