Through pregnancy, after birth, and every decade after that. The things nobody tells you, explained properly.
Leaking when you run or sneeze. A back that hasn't been right since. Feeling weaker than you used to and assuming that's just what happens now. Most women are told these things are normal after children, or normal at your age — and left there.
Common isn't the same as normal, and normal isn't the same as untreatable. Most of it responds well to the right work, and a lot of it responds quickly.
You'll be listened to properly, you'll get a clear explanation of what's actually going on, and you'll leave knowing what to do about it.

Getting the right treatment starts with being properly heard. Appointments here are long enough to tell the whole story — including the parts you've not said out loud before.
Pelvic girdle and back pain, staying active safely, and preparing your body for birth and what comes after. You'll get straight answers about what you can and can't do, rather than being told to rest and see.
Rebuilding after birth — pelvic floor, deep abdominal control, and getting back to lifting, running and carrying without leaking or aching. Whether that's six weeks ago or six years ago. It's not too late, and nobody checks properly at the six-week appointment.
Leaking when you run, jump, cough or laugh is common and it's treatable. So is needing to know where every toilet is. This is muscle and coordination, and muscle responds to training — most people see a difference within a few months of doing the right thing.
Aching joints, losing strength, and feeling like your body has changed the rules. Strength training is one of the most useful things available at this stage — for bone health, for muscle, and for staying capable. We'll build a way of doing it that fits your week.
Getting back to running, lifting or your sport after children — properly, and without the assumption that you'll have to accept less than before. Tested before you go back, same as anyone else.
Through the year we run women's health talks — open to anyone, and free to attend. These exist to support you understand some the commons things we see in clinic, be your own health advocate, and understand what is normal versus what needs more support.
These are lovely evenings for like minded women who want to put their health first. With a good opportunity to meet new friends in your local area!
If you'd like to know when the next one is, email us and we'll add you to the list.

If you'd rather ask something before booking, do. Nothing you mention will be the first time we've heard it.
